Home Services Brands Deliver Comfort to Local Children’s Hospital

Critical piece of equipment will be purchased, providing comfort to families that their children are getting the best care
Las Vegas, NV (April 18, 2017) – Today employees from One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning®, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® and Mister Sparky® electric, part of the Direct Energy family of brands, donated $10,000 and kid’s activity kits and overnight toiletry bags for parents today to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Las Vegas, which is affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network. The hospital will use these funds to purchase a Central Monitoring Station, a touchscreen workstation that gathers and displays information from patient monitors and patient-worn monitors for central monitoring.
Physicians will now have flexible access to patient information and history wherever they are—in the hospital, at home or on the road. They will also have additional access to patient information via web and iPads. This means children can be monitored from the comfort of their own home without having to spend as much time in the hospital.

Direct Energy employees attending their annual field operations convention in Las Vegas also put together 50 kid’s activity kits for children’s waiting in the ER, as well as 100 personal hygiene overnight bags for moms and dads of St. Rose pediatric patients. These kits and bags were presented at this event along with the $10,000 check presentation at the hospital.
This donation is part of an ongoing partnership between the three home services brands and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
