Celebrating Panda Cares Day!

Today, St. Rose Dominican Hospital is proud to join in celebrating Panda Cares Day, the anniversary of the Panda Cares Foundation—Panda Express’ incredible philanthropic arm!

Every August 8, Panda Express celebrates this special day to honor their commitment to supporting children’s health and well-being through their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. And this year, we’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone: Panda Express has raised over $200 million for CMN Hospitals nationwide!

These funds support Panda Cares Centers of Hope and other vital programs that help meet the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of pediatric patients. Kids across the country—and right here at St. Rose Dominican Hospital—continue to benefit from this generosity in meaningful and lasting ways.

Here at St. Rose, our local Panda Express locations have donated numerous meals prior to, during and after COVID to support our Pediatric staff. They’ve helped to fund the separate Children’s ER entrance, and helped design a playroom that is utilized by our Certified Child Life Specialist. The playroom utilizes the Panda Cares key pillars of health to help children have a less scary hospital experience by supporting their emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental needs. We will be opening our Panda Cares Center of Hope at St. Rose in the next year. Stay tuned for more details!
